LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — Two minors were injured when the vehicle they were riding in slid down an embankment.

At 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Odessa resident Collin Gaage was eastbound on Odessa Cemetery Rd. — one-fourth of a mile east of Kinnamon Rd. — when his vehicle lost control on an icy portion of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled off the right side of the road, struck a bridge railing, and slid down an embankment before coming to rest on its side at the bottom of a creek.

Gaage didn’t report injuries, but two passengers also from Odessa, Casey Hank, 16, and Dakota Kirk, 15, reported minor injuries, for which they sought their own medical treatment.

All three of the teenagers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
