Update: 05/09/2015 The Highway Patrol has filed the following information about the accident in Saline County today.

A Columbia driver was injured in a three vehicle accident in Saline County today. According to the Highway Patrol, 21 year old Erika Enlow of Columbia was Westbound on Interstate 70, West of Marshall Junction, when she ran into a vehicle driven by 29 year old Carli Nieder of Amoret. Nieder was pushed into 28 year old Cody Salter of Columbia, when then hit the vehicle in front of him, but did no damage. Enlow received moderate injuries but sought medical attention on her own.

(05/09/15): 12:30 The Highway Patrol has reported just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday, that both westbound lanes of  I-70, just west of the Marshall Junction, have been reopened.

However, still use extreme caution in the westbound lanes of I-70 due to crews still on scene, along the shoulder.

A six vehicle collision around 11:30 shut down the interstate and affected eastbound t5raffic for a time as well. But still be ready to slow for emergency vehicles a mile west of the Marshall Junction on westbound I-70.

Scanner reports are indicating a six vehicle accident on I-70 westbound near the 77.8 mile marker. Drivers on I 70- are asked to remain alert and cautious while on the roadway near Marshall Junction at this time we are receiving reports of backed up traffic reportedly the left lane on I-70 westbound is completely blocked.
