KNOX COUNTY, Mo.— (update Nov. 18) Authorities confirmed source statements that 17-year-old Andrew Howe died as the result of a gunshot received in a hunting accident. Howe was hunting with his grandfather, Donald Howe, when the elder Howe mistakenly shot his grandson. The investigation is still on going.

Knox County law enforcement confirm the death of a young man in Knox County due to an accidental shooting. Sources out of Levasy state the victim is a young man around 17 who suffered a fatal gunshot wound to his head. Initial reports suggest the fatal round was fired by the man’s grandfather around 2 p.m. Nov. 17. The incident is currently under investigation.
