UPDATE: 11:10 p.m. – Power in Carrollton was restored after an outage that lasted about two hours Thursday night. It has been reported that a transmission line from Kansas City Power and Light was the cause of the problem. Power went out around 8:30 p.m. remained out until it finally came on around 10:48, last night. KCP&L and Carrollton Municipal Utilities scrambled to sort out the problem and make repairs.

UPDATE:  9:15 p.m. – The town of Carrollton is currently without power. Electricity went off in the 8 p.m. hour. There has been no word regarding a timetable for restoring power. City officials hope the issue will be fixed in a timely fashion. Carrollton Municipal Utilities has contacted KCP&L regarding a downed transmission line.
