UPDATE: 08/21/2017 6:01:33 p.m.- Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the accident just south of Carrollton, Mo., on US-65 this afternoon.
According to the accident report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, James Brown, 40, of Carrollton, Mo., was northbound on US-65 when he overtook and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Christephen Britt, 29, of Calloa, Mo., causing him to overtake and strike the rear of a third vehicle operated by Noyes Baake, 59, of Overland Park, Ks.
Brown and Britt suffered moderate injuries as a result of the rear-end collision and were both transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment.
UPDATE: 08/21/17 12:19 p.m. — Emergency crews at the scene advised that the roadway is not blocked and traffic is flowing normally. It was not immediately clear if anyone involved in the accident was injured.
CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — KMZU News has confirmed reports of a crash on 65 Highway in Carroll County north of the Waverly Bridge.
A spokesperson for the Missouri State Highway Patrol told KMZU News that the crash happened after 11:30 a.m. Monday on Highway 65 at County Road 368 in Carroll County.
Troopers and other emergency personnel were en route to the scene of the crash and it was not immediately clear if the roadway was obstructed by the accident. It is also not known at this time if anyone was injured in the wreck.
Drivers in the area should exercise caution as delays could result from the accident.
