UPDATE: (09/02/15) 07:25 a.m. The passing lane is reportedly open, but traffic is still backed up. Use caution in the area still.

A tractor trailer got turned sideways on westbound I-70 at mile marker 52 approximately. That is roughly five miles to the west of Concordia at the Route T interchange, also known as the Aullville exit.

Both westbound lanes of I-70 are blocked at this time. Motorists should be ready to stop.

A tow vehicle has been dispatched to try and clear the lanes as soon as possible.

Traffic will be rerouted on the Route T exit and through Higginsville by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Travelers can expect significant delay, so if they can take a different route they are encouraged to do so.
