UPDATE (06/06/16; 5:53 p.m.): More details have emerged in the head-on collision that occurred this morning.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 9:30 a.m., Kimberly D. Einnie, 53, of Stover, Mo., was driving south on Route B, just north of Huth Road, when she crossed the center line and struck the northbound vehicle of Karen L. Wright, 47, of Bunceton, Mo., nearly head on. Both vehicles traveled off of the roadway before eventually coming to rest.
Einnie sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by ambulance.
UPDATE: (06/06/16) 1:30 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that crews cleared the scene as of 12:27 p.m. and motorists can drive through the area normally approximately 5 miles south of I-70 at Boonville on Highway B. KMZU News will await the official report from the Highway Patrol and bring more details then. There is still no official word on who was involved and the nature of injuries.
UPDATE: (06/06/16) 10:10 a.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that crews are still on scene as of 10:07 a.m. and motorists should avoid the area or use extreme caution approximately 5 miles south of I-70 at Boonville on Highway B. That is just north of Huth Road and northeast of the Blooming Hills Nursery.
COOPER COUNTY, Mo. – KMZU News has received reports of a head-on collision about 5 miles south of Boonville on Highway B.
Authorities were notified about 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016. It reportedly took place on the crest of a hill. At approximately 9:45 a.m. crews on scene requested extrication equipment.
The number of individuals involved is not known at this time, nor the severity of injuries.
The wreck is reported to be just north of Huth Road, just northeast of the Blooming Hills Nursery.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in the area. KMZU News will bring you details as they become available.
