WASHINGTON — Imported canned corned beef items have been recalled in the U.S. According to a release by the USDA, the products were produced by Milky Way International Trading Corp., doing business as MW Polar, a California firm. Approximately 297,715 pounds of ready-to-eat canned corned beef were distributed nationwide, but never received the Food and Safety and Inspection Service import re-inspection before being sent to shelves. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of the products, but anyone who has purchased them are urged to either throw them away or to return them to the place of purchase.
