A Livingston Co. Judge’s son is free in Nevada following his Friday release from custody at the Clark County Detention Center.

Blake Valbracht, 29, was arrested in the early morning hours of Friday, July 5th after an altercation with a Las Vegas, Nevada hotel security officer. That guard fell during the dispute and was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital.

Blake Valbracht was facing charges of second degree murder, but as of Friday, Valbracht is free without bond and no formal charges have been filed. The prosecutor still has 50 days to file charges if any.  According to a representative of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, potential murder charges are still under review by the screening department, and have neither been approved nor denied.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, but that has been continued to September 9th for a status check on the filing of a criminal complaint.
