An accident Monday night in Ray County sent an Orrick resident to the hospital. The Highway Patrol reports Robert Stockton, 40, of Orrick, was operating a road grader in the intersection of Highway 5 and 1st Street when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Jimmy Ashby, 64. Ashby was transported to North Kansas City Hospital with minor injuries.
