RAY COUNTY, Mo. – The Missouri Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle that struck a motorcycle and left the scene in Ray County Friday afternoon.

The collision occurred shortly before 3:00 yesterday on Highway 210 at Pendleton Road. An eastbound vehicle, described as an early 2000s model Ford Taurus pulled out to pass and hit a westbound motorcycle ridden by Albert Hawkins, 69, of Kansas City, Missouri. Hawkins was seriously injured when his bike overturned off the roadway.

Hawkins was transported by ambulance to North Kansas City Hospital. The suspect vehicle left the scene of the crash.
