RAY COUNTY, MO – A single vehicle crash in Ray County caused serious injuries for the driver Sunday morning, but spared two passengers.
According to an incident report by state troopers, the vehicle driven by Edward Pridgen, 71, of Rayville departed from the roadway at Crowley Road, north of Elkhorn Road. It reportedly moved off the left side of the road traveling north, striking a ditch, two portions of fence, and a tree before it stopped. Pridgen was listed as not having worn a seat belt, and was sent for care to Liberty Hospital. Two passengers, Emerson Davis, 12, and Kane Davis, 6, were wearing safety devices, and remained uninjured.
