The Corder VFW Post 4288 hosts a Benefit Buffet Dinner to help promote and fund community projects and services for Veterans. Doug Lorenz, Quarter Master at the Post, says they try to do a lot for the community.

Lorenz said they help raise funds for scholarships for graduating seniors, support the Missouri Veterans Home, support student patriotic programs, such as Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen.

The menu for the dinner will be ham, meatballs, scalloped potatoes, green beans, corn, salad bar, desert bar, and coffee, tea, and water will be provided. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

They also invite Veterans to bring their DD-214 and will be able to speak to John Harris, State Veterans Service Officer, about VA benefits or any questions you might have.

They will be serving from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 8th, at the Corder VFW Post, located at the junction of Highway 20 and BB Road in Corder.
