They decided to set up shop in Salisbury because bad weather prevented them from accessing the old post.
“Our Keytesville post is way out in the country. And then in the winter time, in bad weather, we can’t make it in and out,” said Box, “We still have both posts at this time. We have our fundraiser at the Keytesville post. So we’re going to have to be using both of them.”
Despite a few rennovations, the new post has several features.
“We need to put a roof on it. And we need to do some remodeling on the inside. We have central heating and air here, which will be a whole lot better. We do have a kitchen area. And our equipment, our deep fryers and all that that we have for our benefits. It’s a place to house all of those.”
The building was donated to the post, so the cost to move will be fairly low. They fundraiser will get underway Saturday morning at 10:00 at the old Keytesville post.
