10,000 bags were filled Thursday. Wade said the bags are filled by an automatic machine and bags will continue to be filled Saturday and Sunday if needed.

Officials are asking for the public’s help to make sandbags to prevent the possibility of major flooding in the Carroll County area. More rain is in forecast this weekend.

The Missouri River is expected to crest next week.

Those volunteering should come dressed to work.
