The Warrensburg City Council will be meeting this evening in the council chambers for the second time this month. A closed meeting will start at 5 p.m. and the council will move into study session at 6 p.m. The public meeting will follow the study session and will begin with the City Manager report and a report from the Director of Finance. After the agenda is adopted the council will move right into an annual presentation from the Parks and Recreation Board.
Ordinances are next on the agenda for the meeting tonight and will include first and second readings of six different items. The first on the list is an ordinance authorizing the City Manager and City Clerk to execute a contract amendment with Warrenburg Convention and Vistors Bureau, incorporated for Convention and Tourism Services. Next on the list is an ordinance establishing thirty minute parking on the north and south sides of East Gay Street, from College Street extending 150 feet east of the intersection, in the city of Warrensburg, Missouri. Third on the list is an ordinance establishing a no parking zone on King Street between Washington Street and Warren Street, in the city of Warrensburg, Missouri. The last three items up for first and second readings are in regards to closing a certain street to motor vehicle traffic, re-adopting a section relating to viscious dogs, and executing a contract for land planning services.
Other businesses appearances include a request for resolution of support for the Warrensburg and Pertle Springs Railroad, mayoral appointments to Boards and Commissions, and appearances to the council not listed on the agenda. Miscellaneous matters from the City Manager and the Mayor will be last on the agenda and after the meeting is adjourned the council will move into executive session.
The public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at its usual location in the council chambers.
