WARRENSBURG, Mo.- Warrensburg City Council met Monday, January 25, 2016. A study session was held before the public meeting which was then followed by a closed meeting.

The first ordinance was to establish a general election to be held on April 5. The election will be held to fill seats on the Warrensburg City Council. There are six candidates for the two seats, including council member Donna DeFrain, who is running for re-election.

The second ordinance was to amend section 23-371 of the code of ordinances of the city of Warrensburg. The amendment to the ordinance would allow for vehicles stored on city streets to be issued a citation before being towed.

Both ordinances were passed.

The council also discussed three mayoral appointments to boards and commissions, all of which were re-appointments.

Following reports from the City Manager and Director of Finance, the public meeting was brought to a close.
