JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo – A Warrensburg resident is facing terrorist threat and harassment charges in Johnson County.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a residence in Warrensburg on September 21 for reports of a violation of protection order. Dillon Gregory Werntz, 30, reportedly poured gasoline on a victim’s car while attempting to light it on fire, as well as threatened to kill the victim by lighting the residence on fire. Werntz fled on foot before being captured.
On September 15, Werntz reportedly threatened to burn the same residence down and lit some items in the residence on fire. A prior threat to “blow up” a workplace in Knob Noster, Mo was also reported.
Werntz is facing a Felony Terrorist Threat, Harassment, Stalking and Resisting Arrest.
