WARRENSBURG, MO – According to Warrensburg Police, officers have dealt with 50 reports of vehicle break-ins over the last two months, from the beginning of September, through the month of October.
That is 50 instances over 61 days. Of those 50 incidents of vehicle thefts, 43 victims acknowledged their doors were unlocked. The remaining seven cases involved no signs of tampering. Warrensburg police are looking for suspects, but ask residents to reduce the number of cases by locking car doors. If the doors cannot be locked, residents are asked to remove valuable items from within the vehicle if left unattended.
