The Warrensburg R-VI School Board met Thursday morning to address overcrowded classrooms. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with Warrensburg Assistant Superintendent Scott Patrick:
Patrick says an unexpected number of kindergarten students is a nice problem to have, but class sizes are not ideal for that age group. The board approved the administration’s plan for up to three additional teachers pending enrollment numbers over the next few weeks.
Patrick says the extra staff will create one new classroom at each of the elementary buildings. The positions have been posted and the district is now accepting applications.
