Preparations are underway for the annual Turkey Trot hosted by Warrensburg Parks and Recreation on November 15th .  “It’s going to be cold, but it’s sure to be a good time and a great way to pre-burn off the big meal we are going to have on Thanksgiving,” said Gee.

The 10K will start at 8:00 am followed by the 5K at 9:00am.  Both races will start and end at the Warrensburg Community Center.

There are some great prizes up for grab.  First place winners of both races will receive a free turkey for Thanksgiving Dinner.  Second place finishers will get a free pumpkin pie and third place will receive a coupon for a free Warrensburg Parks and Recreation 5K that can be used for a future event of their choice.

The fee is $15 per person and includes a Turkey Trot t-shirt.
