MARSHALL — Saline Southern County Commissioner Monte Fenner gave KMZU an update on Sept. 17 on the $4.2 million project to bring water services to the I-70 Marshall junction.

Fenner says this portion of the estimated $7.2 million total project should be completed by next summer. Next for the commission is bringing sewer service to the junction.

That project is estimated from $2 to $3 million. That project is estimated from $2 to $3 million dollars. A half-cent sales tax for economic development is the funding mechanism to improve turn lanes on U.S. 65 and bring water, sewer, electricity and natural gas to the junction for future business development.
