There was little on the agenda at Tuesday night’s Waverly Board of Aldermen meeting. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Pounds speak with Mayor Barbara Schreiman.
Schreiman said it has been a slow month for the city. “We got our committee reports. Then we had some people here complaining about a property that needed yard work done, and had a building that is falling in and could be dangerous to others.” She added, “We discussed the parks lights. The city is getting new poles to meet the Little League Ball Club standards.”
Schreiman said action will be taken on tall grass in the city. “We will send letters to the property owners. According to the ordinance, we have to notify them twice, and if nothing is done the city will clean the property and we will add it to their taxes.”
The board reviewed reports before moving into an executive session.
