The American Legion Post 134 in Wellington will be serving breakfast Saturday morning. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to adjutant Don Campbel:
“We’ve been having these on the first Saturday of every month,”said Campbell,”We have biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, coffee, orange juice, and milk. The funds will help with building repairs. The roof is about 35 years old. It’s a flat tar roof and age has just taken it’s toll on it. We’re getting cracks that we have to keep patching and we decided we should probably replace it. This building also houses our local post office, so we definitely want to try to keep everything in good repair so we can keep our post office here in town.”
The “all-you-can-eat” event will run from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning. There is a $5 admission charge. Gulf War veterans will eat for free.
