A case review is scheduled for a Warrensburg resident accused of leaving the body of her dead infant in a cave in February 2014.
As stated in court documents, Latasha Wilson, 21, is charged with abandonment of a corpse, 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child, and 2nd degree murder.
Reportedly, Wilson alleged she birthed the infant on a toilet where it drowned. After the incident, Wilson and a co-worker, Zakary Carter, allegedly left the baby’s body in cave where two UCM students later found it among a pile of burned trash.
It was reported Carter returned to the cave after initially leaving the infants corpse to try and burn the remains.
Wilson is slated to go before the Judge at 1:30 p.m. and is currently held on a $250,000 cash only bond.
