RAY COUNTY, Mo. — A Windsor woman was listed in critical condition after a crash in Ray County Monday afternoon.
An accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates the crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. Monday on Route C, about one-tenth of a mile north of County Road West 222.
A sport-utility vehicle driven by 34-year-old Pamela D. Paxton was traveling north when her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway before returning to the road, causing Paxton to over-correct.
The SUV then ran off the left side of the highway, became airborne and struck several trees before coming to rest in a creek bed.
Paxton suffered serious injuries in the single-vehicle crash. She was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital for care.
