MOBERLY, Mo. — Two police officers were allegedly assaulted by an area woman who was reportedly walking traffic on 24 Highway in Moberly Friday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Moberly Police Department, officers were called to 24 Highway near the junction with Route 63 in Moberly around 2:00 p.m. Friday to reports of a woman walking in the roadway and obstructing traffic.
When officers arrived, they detained 29-year-old Marybeth Baggett, due to the fact that Baggett appeared to be unable to care for herself.
As she was taken into custody, Baggett allegedly assaulted two officers, leaving them with minor injuries.
Baggett is now charged with two felony counts of assault in the third degree on a special victim.
Bond for Baggett was set at $10,000, cash only. She remains behind bars at the Randolph County Jail.
