CLINTON, MO – A Clinton woman charged in the death of a police officer is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty Friday to 2nd degree murder.

Court documents say, Tammy Widger, 38, was at a residence in Clinton with James Waters when police responded to an unrelated call, March of 2018. Waters fatally shot officer Ryan Morton, and wounded two others during an armed confrontation. Tammy Widger reportedly answered the door when officers arrived.
