BOONE COUNTY, Mo. – A woman sentenced to 20 years for murder has appealed her guilty plea in Boone County.
Jaclyn Rose pleaded guilty to charges of murder in the second degree and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Gregory Moore at the Welcome Inn in 2016. Rose now claims that her public defender was too overworked to give her adequate counsel.
The motion also says she was not properly evaluated for competency and given the wrong medication by the county jail, for a diagnosed ailment.
