A sentence has been handed down for an Odessa resident who plead guilty to charges of stealing from her Higginsville employer, Earthworks Excavation.  According to the probable cause statement, Angela Gross, 43, was charged after a financial audit revealed evidence that she had misappropriated money from credit cards and bank accounts belonging to the business.

Gross was taken into custody on the charges in May of this year.  A search of her home at that time revealed large amounts of business records and mail belonging to Earthworks Excavation, Scott Rasa, and Rasa Farms.  The investigation also uncovered four business checks bearing the signature of Scott Rasa that the business owner advised he did not sign.

Gross originally denied the accusations, but then entered a plea of guilty as charged in August.  She has now been sentenced to 15 years in the Department of Corrections.
