HENRY COUNTY, Mo. – A counsel status hearing is planned this morning for a woman from Clinton, charged with first degree domestic assault in Henry County.

Christina L. Ellis, 58, is scheduled to appear before the court at 9:00 a.m. this morning. Ellis has been without an attorney since the fall of 2018, when the original public defender assigned to her case filed a motion to withdraw. Ellis was arrested in April, 2018, after it was reported that she attacked her boyfriend with a baseball bat. The boyfriend was flown to a Kansas City hospital with serious injuries.

Ellis claims the man threatened to kill her.
