A couple of women from the suburbs of Kansas City were taken into custody after a vehicle stop in Cooper County Wednesday afternoon. According to the Highway Patrol, Danielle C. Castillo, 19, of Independence was stopped for allegedly exceeding the speed limit, failure to drive on the right half of roadway and no seatbelt. During the traffic stop, the Patrol alleged she was in possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and unlawful use of paraphernalia. They also charged her passenger, Brianna K. Digaetano, 19, of Blue Springs with unlawful use of paraphernalia. They are both being held in the Cooper County Jail, awaiting bond.
