Progress is being made at the site of the new fire training center in Chillicothe. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with Fire Chief Darrell Wright:

Chief Darrell Wright

According to the Chief, the project is on schedule at this time. “We have all the dirt work done and our roadway complete,” said Wright, “The electricity is in and we’re getting ready to put the water-main in this week and pour the actual foundation for the tower itself. We expect the waterline and foundation will be complete by the end of next week.”

Wrights says the approximate $360,000 structure should be completed in early fall. “Right now, it’s pretty early, but we’re looking at October 6th for the tower to arrive,”said Wright, “That’s a Monday and we expect it to be complete by that Friday.”
