The Y is at it again with plenty of new programs fit for childhood through senior years.

With August almost over, the fall season is just around the corner which means many changes and not just to the leaves. YMCA Program Director, Brett Lyon, recently spoke with KMZU about all of the new and upcoming events including an odd names class.

“It’s called Butts and Guts and we’re here to do, is we are here to work, work, work!” Lyon explained the program, “It’s beginning stuff. We have a great teacher with Mindy Miller. She has a phenomenal story and a phenomenal following right now. We have about 14-15 people in the class and it’s all people that are really just beginning their journey.”

While most people think of gyms as an expensive route when working out or getting active, Lyon assured the YMCA is all about getting the community involved which means they keep their memberships affordable.
