Columbia, Mo.,- Almost 80 FFA and 4-H members participated in the 2011 Youth Swine Judging Contest at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Winners were announced in both the Junior and Senior Division on an individual basis and as a team.  The contest, sponsored by the Missouri Pork Association, consisted of four swine judging classes and two sets of ten questions.
In the Junior Division, top team honors went to the Polk County Team from the Bolivar area. Team members included Grace Erickson, Juliet Evans, Seth Henenberg and Parker Erickson. The second place Triple Threat Team from the Curryville area included Gabrielle Deters, Elise Bailey and Emily Blaue. In third place was the Linn County Team of Joel Martin, Bryce Jobson, Natalie Allen and Audrey Martin. The top individual in the Junior Division went to Joel Martin from Bucklin.
In the Senior Division, top team honors went to the Eldon FFA Team from the Eldon area-members included Dalton Apperson, Tyler Hogg, Joseph Limbach and Ryan Looten. The second place Bowling Green Team included Austin Bailey, Brett Waddell, Ashlee Waddell and Andrew Fisher. In third place was the Diacoxie Team from Sarcoxie of Clay Gautz, Nate Warthen, Hunter Pennery and Ana Clemons. The high individual in the Senior Division went to Nathaniel Peterman from Neosho.
The top three teams and the highest individual in each division receive a cash award.
